Earthquake & Flooding in Paradise

We love Velina (Campania) Italy so much we bought there. This winter was brutal in this region. It was it by an earthquake although no one was seriously injured and flooding from massive rain storms. Even some snow in a region that doesn’t get much snow (except on mountain tops). Most winters are not this bad. Summer is beautiful. The sea in the winter can be very rough with strong under currents. In the summer the sea is calm and the beaches beautiful.

We still love this region which offers so many small mountain towns to see. Tourists seldom go to these towns. We learned that Italia was the original name of this area. Later Italia referred to all of current Italy. This is one of the oldest areas in the world. Don’t miss it!
