Italian trattorias are great small restaurants that are usually cheaper than a restorante. They have great local food & wine. The food takes time to cook and serve properly. DO NOT GO if you are in a hurry. Food in Italy is sacred. It must be fresh, prepared properly and served correctly. Take in the smells and visuals on the walls. Watch fresh fruits, vegetables and bread be delivered through the front door. Talk to the owner and your waiter. Let them know you enjoyed your meal.
