Glad you mentioned the drinking fountains in Italy. I’ve always appreciated them on those hot, hot days in the cities. But I think you should mention that some of the water fountains can be used to refresh yourself by sprinkling water on arms and legs, for instance, but not for drinking. Drinking fountains may have a sign that says ‘potabile” Those not for drinking will say “NON Potabile”. This means NOT “potable” or “drinkable” in English.
